- Will I see the lights during the day?
- The fixtures remain physically present. Careful placement beneath the eaves helps keep the hardware discreet while following the architecture of your home.
- Can permanent lighting replace my seasonal Christmas lights?
- For many homeowners, yes. A permanent system can create holiday scenes without reinstalling lights each season. Available colors and effects depend on the Govee system you choose.
- Can I use a subtle look instead of bright holiday colors?
- Yes. Supported systems offer white-light options for architectural accents and everyday curb appeal. You can choose scenes that suit your home and the occasion.
- Can I control individual colors?
- Govee permanent-lighting systems offer control over colors, segments and effects. The exact level of individual control depends on the model, so we help match the system to the look you want.
- Can the lights produce normal white light?
- Yes, supported models include dedicated white-light capability. Some systems offer both warm and cool white options. We can help you choose a model suited to your preferred everyday lighting.
- Will the lights work with my smart home?
- Several Govee systems support Matter and integrations such as Alexa and Google Assistant. Compatibility varies by model; the selected system needs to match your existing smart-home setup.
- Can the lights be cut and reconnected to fit my roofline?
- Some Govee systems support customized cutting and reconnection; others do not. We help select the appropriate product and plan the layout around your roofline rather than assuming every model can be modified.
- How is my installation scope confirmed?
- Your proposal confirms the installation scope for your home. Planning considers the areas you want illuminated, light placement, power location, extensions, transitions and controller placement.
- Is lighting equipment included with installation?
- Equipment is quoted separately unless your proposal specifically includes it. Lighting kits, extensions and controllers should not be assumed to be included in the installation scope.
- What special requirements could affect my project?
- Specialty routing, electrical work, difficult rooflines, access needs or lifts may require separate quoting when applicable. Your proposal should distinguish these project-specific requirements from the standard installation work.
- How do I know how many feet of lighting I need?
- We can help measure and estimate your roofline during the quote process. Start with the areas you want illuminated; you do not need an exact measurement to ask about your project.
- Can you install Govee lights I already purchased?
- Tell us which system you have and we will confirm compatibility with your project.
- What should I share when requesting a quote?
- Share the areas you want illuminated, the number of stories, any approximate measurements and photos of your home. If you already own a Govee system, include the model. Tell us whether you prefer architectural whites, colorful effects or both.
