Outdoor Lights 2 delivers the core permanent-lighting experience for standard rooflines.
A PLANNING GUIDE FROM MST SMART LIGHTING SYSTEMS
Every Govee permanent outdoor lighting system adds app-controlled color and year-round curb appeal — but they are not interchangeable. The right choice depends on the white-light quality you want, the color effects you prefer, and how complex your roofline is. This page is a planning comparison, not a verified specification sheet. Unconfirmed features should not be treated as included. We review the model, power components, extension limits, mounting requirements, and your roofline before recommending a setup.
Outdoor Lights 2 delivers the core permanent-lighting experience for standard rooflines.
Outdoor Lights Pro adds brighter output, dedicated warm and cool whites, and professional cut-and-splice flexibility.
Outdoor Lights Prism creates three independently controlled color zones from each fixture for a more dramatic effect.
Outdoor Lights 2 Pro combines dual-layer effects with split-run support for complex rooflines.
Dedicated white light uses white-light LEDs rather than mixing colors to approximate white. Warm white creates a softer look; cool white creates a crisper one. Color effects determine how colors move and combine across your roofline. Cuttable designs can offer more layout flexibility, but only where the specific model permits cutting and reconnection. Smart-home compatibility determines how the lights work with your app, controls, and existing setup — not every model supports every feature.
Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights 2
Best for: Homeowners who want dependable permanent lighting on a straightforward roofline. Uses RGBICW technology with a dedicated white-light channel. Each fixture produces a clean cone of light. Supports Matter and offers 100 preset scenes. Not designed to be cut and reconnected, so it fits best when available lengths match the roofline plan.
Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights Pro
Best for: Homeowners who want stronger everyday architectural lighting and a more tailored installation. Uses RGBWWIC with dedicated warm and cool white LEDs, a 2700K–6500K white range, and 50 lumens per light. Cut-and-splice support makes it easier to fit corners, gaps, and changing roofline lengths. Supports Matter and includes 75 preset scenes.
Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights Prism
Best for: Homeowners who want the most expressive multicolor effects for holidays, celebrations, and bold accent lighting. Uses RGBWWIC and divides each fixture into three independently controlled lighting zones. Provides a 2700K–6500K white range, 40 lumens per light, cut-and-splice flexibility, Matter support, and more than 100 preset scenes.
Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights 2 Pro
Best for: Homeowners who want the broadest white-light range, advanced layered effects, and the most installation flexibility for complex or split rooflines. Uses RGBWWIC to create two independently controlled lighting layers per fixture. Its 1000K–10000K white range extends from very warm amber to crisp cool white. Cut-and-reconnect support, detachable light heads, and a weather-rated Y-connector allow split runs across difficult rooflines. Provides 40 lumens per light, Matter support, and more than 100 preset scenes.
